How to remove press-on nails without any damageUpdated 4 days ago

 Hot water method:

Suitable if you have used nail glue. Offers a gentle removal that allows you to reuse your press-on nails.

  1. Soak in hot, soapy water for 15-20 minutes.
  2. Gently lift edges with the stick (if they resist, they aren't ready - soak again).
  3. Buff off leftover glue.


 Acetone method:

Suitable if you have used nail glue. Offers a quicker removal, but you will not be able to reuse your press-on nails.

  1. File off the top of the press-on nails.
  2. Soak in acetone until the nails start to lift.
  3. Gently push the nails off with the stick (if they resist, they aren't ready - soak again).
  4. Buff off leftover glue.


If you have used the sticky adhesive tabs:

  1. Gently lift the sides with the stick and peel off each press-on.
  2. Feel resistance? Soak in warm, soapy water for 5-10 minutes, then try again.
  3. Remove any sticky residue with cuticle oil.
